Lamido Sanusi's Predicament Seems Worsening As SSS Accuses Him Of Financing Terrorism!

A new twist has been added to the ongoing travails of the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Lamido Sanusi, as the Department of State Security Service, SSS, has accused him of financing terrorism. The SSS stated this at the Federal High Court, Lagos, while defending its decision to seize Mr. Sanusi’s international passport. Mr. Sanusi’s passport was seized on February 20, as he arrived the Lagos international airport, hours after he was suspended as Central Bank Governor by President Goodluck Jonathan. The new charge, which Mr. Sanusi’s lawyers described as false and baseless, tallies with a similar surreptitious but baseless allegation thrown at the bank chief by a presidential aide. Reno Omokri, the Special Assistant to the President on New Media, had, on February 26, used a pseudonym, Wendell Simlin, to circulate an article that tried to link the recent spike in Boko Haram attack to the suspension of the CBN governor.

In this video, NTV’s Ferdinand Omondi takes you to the underworld where preachers and sex workers speak the same language. The sex workers opened up about their business with the Pastor, stating exactly how much he paid them for each testimony appearance.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrived in Perth, Western Australia to partner and assist its Police with major fraud investigations, has reported. Among the recent cases is that of Wagin woman Jette Jacobs, who was found dead in South Africa last year. She is believed to have sent tens of thousands of dollars to Nigeria during a four-year online relationship with a man, who has been arrested by the EFCC. “We are hoping that this partnership that we’ve now embarked upon will provide us with even better outcomes, the team leader said. “It is also a very good demonstration of Nigeria’s will to assist us here in this state to tackle the problems we’re facing with online advanced fee fraud and mortgage fraud.”

There have been heavy gunfire exchanges around the vicinity of Nigeria’s presidential palace and the headquarters of the Department of State Services in the Asokoro District of  Abuja in the past few hours, security sources and residents of the area said. Sources said it was an attempt by detained members of Nigeria’s terrorist group, the Boko Haram to break free at the facility where are being held at the SSS HQ Abuja. Residents of the nearby Aso Drive Area said the gunshots were either coming out of the SSS headquarters or the presidential villa.

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan is convinced that external forces are arming the Islamist sect, Boko Haram, in its insurgency in the north. He said yesterday in Abuja that ordinarily the sect members whether as a group or as individuals lack the wherewithal to buy the sophisticated weapons they are using in terrorising people especially in Adamawa,Borno and Yobe States. “When you look at the characters that carry the weapons in the turbulent areas including the northern part of my country, you see a young person carrying an AK-47 rifle that is approximately more than $1,000 but the total sum of everything  the person wears on his body, from the canvass to whatever he puts on, is not up to $50,” President Jonathan said  at the Seventh Joint Annual Meeting of the Economic Community of Africa (ECA), Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, and African Union (AU) Conference of Ministers of Economy and Finance. He wondered: “Where is the money coming from…

Tension Grows In Ibadan Ogun State Nigeria Over The Fate Of Okada Rider Who Exposed Ibadan Forest Of Horror!

THE whereabouts of a commercial motorcyclist popularly called Okada rider, who blew the lid on the evil at the Ibadan forest of horror is still unknown. His name is Kazeem and it was he who sent distress text messages to friends and colleagues while being held captive at the forest.

Unfortunately, he was not among the victims rescued by people and minions of law at the forest. And seven days after the Saturday’s discovery of the evil forest, curious residents and colleagues of Kazeem said they would not give up until their missing colleague is rescued from the jaws of kidnappers.

As at Tuesday, his colleagues claimed they still received test messages from him asking them to rescue him from the kidnappers’ den. Already, a search party has been launched for the Okada rider by his colleagues and relatives, who many believe could still be alive, in the forest with nine others.

Parents' Reveal Baby Sex Gone Wrong: There Is Too Much Girls Here, I Don,t Want A Girl, Every Time It's A Girl, Girl!

Parents’ ingenious revelation of the sex of their new baby took a rather sour turn when their only son didn't seem that thrilled by the idea of a third sister.

When Jason and Tiffany Mertlich baked a cake and told their three children they’d know the new arrival’s gender by the colour of the inside, at first it all seemed very exciting. But when their eldest child Gunner, who cut the cake alongside his sisters Paisley and Harper, lifted the slice to reveal a pink sponge, his reaction wasn’t quite what everyone was expecting. ‘It’s a girl!’ he exclaimed through the tears. ‘It’s another girl! I hate girls! Every time it’s girl, girl, girl, girl! ‘I want to leave this house and never come back. I want to be by myself.’ If I may ask, have you felt this way before? WATCH VIDEO!

Uncertainty Over Vice-Presidential ticket, Rochas Okorocha Of Imo State May Dump APC

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha is contemplating leaving the All Progressives Congress (APC), in a bid to retain his seat in 2015 or actualize his never hidden desire to occupy a presidential or vice-presidential seat in Aso Rock. Sources gathered that the development is due to the poor acceptance of the party in Imo State and the South-East region, as well as uncertainty on whether he would get the APC V-P candidate slot. Okorocha’s decision was also informed by the fact that all his colleagues in the region are solidly behind President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election ambition.

Gaddafi’s Son Saadi Apologises, Asks For Forgiveness After Him And His Family Killed Thousands If Not Millions Of Libyans Over 42 Year Rain Of Terror!

Saadi Gaddafi, detained son of late Libyan dictator Moamar Gaddafi, has apologised for what he called “my attempts to destabilise the country” and asked for forgiveness. “I should have helped achieve renaissance in the country. I shouldn’t have carried out such deeds”, he said without elaborating in a video broadcast late on Thursday on Libya’s state television. “I want Libya’s leaders, people, government and the Congress (parliament) to forgive me.” Saadi, Gaddafi’s third son, was extradited earlier this month by Niger, where he sought refuge after armed uprising in 2011 against his father. Saadi, 40, appeared in the footage in good health apparently to quash rumours that he had been tortured in prison. He is due to go on trial next month for allegedly ordering the shooting of peaceful protesters during the uprising against his father. Gaddafi, who ruled Libya for 42 years, was captured and killed in Oct. 2011. (dpa/NAN)

2 Brits, 10 Others Stealing Nigeria's Crude Oil Arrested!

Two Britons and 10 Nigerians have been arrested on charges of trying to bribe a military officer to facilitate oil theft, the military said on Friday. Major-General E.J. Atewe, commander of the mixed military and police Joint Task Force (JTF) for the oil-producing Niger Delta region, said two of the bunkerers, both Nigerian, had gone to an officer to request clearance to move the crude oil. They had openly admitted their plan was to hack into a pipeline and connect a hose that would siphon crude out of it onto a waiting boat, and offered him $6,500 to provide a gunboat to protect them on the way out. “The suspects were immediately arrested for attempting to bribe the brigade commander for economic sabotage,” Atewe said in a statement, and a follow-up operation had led to the arrest of two Britons and another eight Nigerians. Oil theft by armed gangs is rampant in Nigeria, with estimates ranging from 100,000 barrels to 250,000 barrels a day lost to so-called “bunkerers”. Stories of co…

Akaluka, a young Igbo trader, allegedly desecrated the Koran. He was arrested after his wife allegedly used pages of the Koran as toilet paper for her baby. After the police locked him up, a group of Muslim fundamentalists broke into the police station cells, beheaded Akaluka, and paraded his bodiless head around the streets of Kano. Sanusi, and eight others were arrested and locked up for the crime, on the orders of the then Head of State, General Sani Abacha. Investigation by the authorities revealed that Sanusi was the kingpin of the murderous gang.

The Arrogance Of The North At The Constitutional Conference By Femi Fani Kayode

''I see arrogance. I see harrasement. I see it's either our way or no way by the same group who felt the country belongs to them only- the people who are holding this country by the jugular at this conference.
The same way they have been behaving since the creation of the Nigerian state is the same way they are aggressively exhibiting their character at this confrence. But gone are the days when any part of Nigeria can be intimidated, can be coerced or harrassed into submission. The majority of Nigerian s have realised that 50 years of their domination, albiet illegally, has come to an end. They must sit down now and discuss. The odds are not in their favour. The threat of boycott or walkout will not change anything. We are all equal before the law. We are all equal before God''- ADEKUNLE ADESINA ODUNMORAYO. Chief Odunmorayo's words shall go down in history as being a prophetic and final warning to a people that have lost touch with reality and that feel that t…

Why Do Nigerian Women Fake Orgasm?

According to an opinion pool organized by PM on recently released scientific study which suggested the reasons why women sometimes fake orgasm during sex, it would be disheartening to know that despite a lot of sexual education in churches, the internet and in social gatherings, some Nigerians still struggle to achieve this height of sexual stimulation and excitement. The research report had discovered that some women fake orgasms during sex in order to increase their own arousal, especially where they were not initially in the mood for sex. The research report published in the Journal of Sexual Archives by researchers from Temple University and Kenyon College said pretending to enjoy sex could actually turn the experience into a pleasurable one. After a study of 481 heterosexual women, who were sexually active but not in committed relationships, the researchers found four reasons for faking orgasm, and, according to The Independent, these include: altruistic deceit (faking i…

National Confab: Adamawa Threatens Secession !

The National Conference continued on a rancorous note on Wednesday morning with one of the prominent monarchs at the forum, Alhaji Mustapha Aliyu, the Lamido Adamawa, threatening to pull his people out of Nigeria over what he described as the “behaviour of some elders who claimed to be supporters of President Jonathan.” The traditional ruler who said he had tried unsuccessfully to speak for three days because he was not given the chance said the delegates who he refused to mention are putting the nation’s unity at risk with their behaviour. Though some delegates attempted to shut him up with spontaneous shouts of “no, no, no” despite pleas by Justice Idris Kutigi that they should allow him to finish his speech, the traditional ruler continued speaking. In obvious reference to controversies that have been generated over whether 75 per cent or 2/3 support of delegates will be needed to ratify a decision, especially when it is impossible to reach a consensus, the monarch said he was sur…

EPL: Arsene Wenger Admits, It's Now Fight For Fourth Place!

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has warned fans that it's time to be realistic about their Premier League prospects at the business end of the campaign, following last night's dramatic 2-2 draw with Swansea City. The Gunners recovered from a dreadful start to lead 2-1 heading into stoppage time thanks to strikes from Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud, but were dealt a cruel late blow as Mathieu Flamini put into his own net in the first minute of added time. Wenger's men are now six points behind league leaders Chelsea with just seven games left for both sides, although rather more pressingly they only hold a five-point lead over fifth-placed Everton, who have a game in-hand and a home fixture against the Gunners looming large next month. With no let up in a punishing fixture schedule and injuries across the board Wenger has readily admitted that in terms of league ambitions their primary objective for the duration of the campaign must be to ensure Champions League qualificat…

Reports in the media today which quoted President Goodluck Jonathan as "confirming" in Amsterdam that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) wrongly withheld $10 Billion from the federation account  are completely false and a total distortion of the President's comments during his meeting with the Nigerian community in the Netherlands.
At no time during the well-attended reception did President Jonathan also confirm any "irregularities" in the NNPC. Sensational reports in the media to that effect are reckless, mischievous and unprofessional misrepresentations of the President's restatement to the Nigerian community of the Federal Government's position on the allegation that $20 Billion is "missing" from the NNPC or the Federation Account, by reporters who were not at the event or even in Holland at all. President Jonathan's verifiable words while responding to questions from members of the community on the allegation and other do…

After months of staying in the hospital and remaining in doors at home, former Minister of Information, Madam Dora Akunyili finally summoned enough courage to show up in public. She has been sick for sometime now and I heard several doctors have not been able to find out what exactly is eating her up.
She appeared at the venue of the ongoing National Conference in Abuja on Monday and many top politicians who saw Madam Akunyili could not believe their eyes.

This is how chubby and beautiful the outspoken woman was when she was still in government. Really sad! I pray that what ever the illness is, God should send the Drs and Nurses of heaven to heal her as quickly as possible.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) yesterday rose in defense of  the beleaguered Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke,  who the House of Representatives had  ordered its Committee on Public Accounts to probe for allegedly spending N10 billion on chartering jet over a two-year period.
The minister was accused of flying with the chartered Bombardier Challenger 850 aircraft, along with her family.
The state-run oil corporation denied the allegation, saying it did not hire the jet for the minister's exclusive use or for the use of her family. However, despite the denial, Our source has gathered that VistaJet, the Swiss-based operator of the Bombardier Challenger 850, has hurriedly recalled the aircraft, following the decision by the House to probe the transaction.

Owerri Nigeria: Is Rochas Okorocha Siphoning Imo State? Group Wants $52 Million Imo Hotel Contract Probed

A group, Concerned Imo Citizens has asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to probe the abandoned 18 storey hotel complex in Owerri, the state capital. Chairman of the group, Chief Ceejay Ezebuiro said there was something strange about the contract, alleging that Bill of Quantity of the contract was written in Korean language which made it impossible for the engineer from the state ministry of Works to read. Ezebuiro who is a close associate of Gov. Rochas Okorocha added that the contract worth $52million has since been abandoned after the contracting firm; Hanjin Nigeria Limited was mobilized with N1billion. The group boss alleged that the Korean partners of the company have been deported as they entered Nigeria with visiting visas rather than work permit. He urged the anti corruption agency to quiz Okorocha’s alter ego and Nigerian shareholder of the firm, Chief Nyerere Anyim to unravel the reason why the contract was abandoned. According to him, “If Chief Macdona…

Inside Boko Haram Camp, By Escapees!

Two women who escaped from the captivity of Boko Haram insurgents have relived their horrendous experience. Liatu and Janet told the Hausa Service of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) monitored in Kaduna how they escaped from the insurgents after spending several days with them. Liatu, 23, who claimed to have spent 12 days with her abductors inside the Sambisa forest, said she was captured by the insurgents on her way to her village. The insurgents, according to her, barricaded the road near the Bama Bridge, killing some people and abducting others. One of the men who was also abducted, she said, suggested that they should escape. “One man suggested that we run away because one can only die once. We took a golf car and ran away, the Boko Haram people chased us on a motorbike, shooting at us and killed those who sat at the back. When we were approaching Bama, they retreated and went back,” Liatu said. Liatu, a Christian, claimed that the Boko Haram members had earlier asked h…

You Can Not Stop Us From Arresting Lamido Sanusi, Nigerian Federal Government Tells Lagos High Court!

The Federal Government had on Friday told a Federal High Court in Lagos that it cannot stop the police and the Department of State Security Service from arresting the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mallam Sanusi Lamido. The former apex bank governor had earlier filed a suit seeking an order restraining the police and officers of the Department of State Security (DSS) from arresting, detaining or otherwise harassing him. He copied the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Inspector General of Police (IGP), and the Department of State Security (DSS) as first to third respondents respectively. The AGF, while faulting the suit in an affidavit in support of the preliminary objection deposed by one Ayokunle Odekunle, said the reliefs sought by Sanusi were constitutionally not grantable as the Police and the DSS cannot be restricted from carrying out their constitutional and statutory duties of arresting and prosecuting anyone found to have committed an offence.
