She led the Nigerian protesters as they marched onto the National Assembly complex Wednesday to demand that the government and military should do more to rescue scores of school girls kidnapped by Boko Haram gunmen at Government Girls Secondary School, in Chibok,Borno State, more than two weeks ago. Obie addressed the protesters at Unity Fountain in Abuja as the march kicked off. Obiageli Ezekwesili is a chartered accountant and a co-founder of Transparency International, serving as one of the pioneer Directors of the global anti-corruption body based in Berlin, Germany. She served as Nigerian Federal Minister of Solid Minerals and then as Federal Minister of Education during the second term presidency ofOlusegun Obasanjo. Dubbed “a million woman march” and promoted on Twitter under #BringBackOurGirls, the protest was not expected to draw a massive crowd and turn-out was hindered…

The Semen-Drinking Sambian Tribe Of Papua New Guinea!

To become a man in this primitive Sambian tribe in Papua New Guinea, boys are removed from the presence of all females at the age of seven, living with other males for ten years. The idea here is to convince everyone in the village that he can live without women. The isolation they encounter not only prevent the boys from having any sexual activities with women, but also from seducing, or being seduced by married women. During the ten years, the skin is pierced to remove any contamination brought upon by women. For the same reason, a sharp stick is inserted into the child’s nostrils until he bleeds profusely. They also regularly incur vomiting caused by consuming large amounts of sugarcane.
Older men now tell the boys that the bachelors (warriors) are going to copulate with them orally in order to make them grow. Throughout the six stages of the tribe’s rite of passage, the boy will perform fellatio (blowjob) to these warriors to, ironically, prove he is a real man. Because shoving manh…

FG Gather More Evidence Against Senator Ndume As A Boko Haram Member!

The Federal Government has indicated its intention to call additional witnesses and produce fresh evidence in support of its case against a serving Senator from Borno State, Aliyu Ndume. Senator Ndume is standing trial before a Federal High Court in Abuja on allegation that he has a link with the Boko Haram sect. The federal government’s plan to add fresh evidence and call more witnesses was contained in a motion filed by the office of Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).

On Tuesday, a lawyer from the office of the AGF, E. Orji, moved the motion and urged the court to allow him file additional proof of evidence against Ndume. “The application is intended to give the accused person a fair hearing and also the right to cross-examine the witness and contradict the evidence that shall be given. “We urge this court to grant this motion and dismiss the counter affidavit of the accused because it is intended to cause a clog in the wheel of justice,” he said.

I Didn’t Stop Alison-Madueke’s Investigation As Against What The Rep And The Media Are Reporting - Judge

It is totally unimaginable that the Nigerian Federal House of Representative could release a press statement claiming that the Federal High Court has stopped them from proceeding with the planned investigation of Mrs Alison-Madueke and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) over the N10billion aircraft lease allegation.  The judge only summoned the Federal House of Rep to come before it on certain date to explain to the court why such order should not be granted as Mrs Aleson-Madueke and NNPC asked. One would imagine that there are enough knowledgeable Hon. men and women in the Nigerian Federal House of Representative who should know better in terms of court order and it's interpretation. Or maybe, because the House feels that they are the only one who can summon someone to appear before it. That's why they could not bring themselves down to understand a simple court order.  To understand what is actually going on, the Federal High Court in Abuja yesterday '…

A law allowing men in Kenya to marry as many women as they want was signed into law Tuesday by President Uhuru Kenyatta, despite criticism from women's groups. A statement from the presidency confirmed that the bill, which it said "consolidates various laws relating to marriage", had been signed into law.
The bill, which amended existing legislation, was passed by parliament last month to formalise traditional practice regarding marrying more than one person.
"Marriage is the voluntary union of a man and a woman, whether in a monogamous or polygamous union," the presidential statement added. The initial bill had given a wife the right to veto the husband's choice, but male members of parliament overcame party divisions to push through a text that dropped this clause. When the bill was passed last month, female members of parliament stormed out of the session in fury after a heated debate. The National Council of Churches in Kenya (NCCK), which groups more …

Man Believes He Has Found The Missing Malaysian Flight MH370!

An American pilot believes he has found the missing flight MH370 after looking at satellite images online. Michael Hoebel, 60, looked at tens of thousands of images made available to the public on crowd-sourcing site before coming across what he believes to be the wreckage of the Malaysia Airlines plane off the coast of Thailand. The flight, which vanished two months ago on its journey from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, appeared to be in one piece in the image, which was taken days after the crash. The image shows a light-coloured shape off the north-east coast of Malaysia, just west of Songkhla in Thailand. In an interview with WIVS, the New Yorker explained he used the scale provided by TomNod on the map to see if the specifications matched those of the missing Boeing plane and found it was a perfect match. I was taken aback,’ he said. ‘I couldn’t believe I would find this.’ Mr Hoebel, who flies planes recreationally, said he began searching for the wreckage online because he…

An Australian Plane Catches Fire Minutes After Take-off!

An Australian plane was forced to make an emergency landing when it caught fire shortly after take-off from Perth this morning. A passenger alerted attendants on the Cobham Aviation flight when they saw smoke coming out of one of the plane’s engines, forcing the pilot to shut off the fuel hose and turn the plane around. However, passengers revealed to Radio 6PR that they weren’t too worried, saying they trusted the flight crew to land the plane safely, reports. The plane then touched back down safely at Perth Domestic Airport, where airport firefighters were able to put out the flames. On board the plane were 93 fly-in-fly-out mine workers on their way to Barrow Island in the state’s north-west. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau are to launch a full investigation into the incident. A report.

Boko Haram Scare Causes Stampede At Assumpta Catholic Cathedral Owerri, Imo State Capital, Nigeria!

Over 2,000 worshippers that attended the morning mass of the Assumpta Catholic Cathedral, located at the popular Control Post in Owerri, Imo State capital, on Sunday scampered for safety over the alarm raised from outside the church premises of a suspected Boko Haram sect member who allegedly attempted to set a tanker loaded with fuel that fell very close to the church on fire. But thank God the suspect was appre…

The convicted former Governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Diepreye Alamieyesieha, yesterday shocked  members of the National Conference Committee on Public Finance and Revenue when he told a story of how some ex-naval officers and expatriates engaged in oil bunkering and kidnapping episodes. Alamieyeseiha also said ex- President Olusegun Obasanjo had once showed him a list of oil thieves in the country but failed to prosecute them during his administration. The ex-governor who volunteered to state his experience of oil bunkering when he was governor of Bayelsa State, said some retired naval officers were involved in oil theft even as he accused some foreign oil workers of conniving with local gangs to arrange kidnapping as a means of extorting money from government and oil companies.

Being married can make people more prone to depression, a study reveals. Constant nagging and domestic spats are significant triggers of long-term stress that cannot be outweighed by the positive aspects of wedlock, scientists found. It can also make husbands and wives far less responsive to positive experiences. Previous research has shown married people are, in general, happier and healthier than singletons. But an 11-year study by the University of Wisconsin-Madison poses a question mark over the decades of research linking single life to long-lasting social stress. According to, the researchers assessed a group of married adults for depression, and gave them questionnaires to rate their stress on a six-point scale.

Efforts by the embattled Nigerian Minister of Petroleum Resources Diezani Alison-Madueke and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to prevent their investigation on the allegation that they spent about N10billion on hiring aircraft failed yesterday. A Federal High Court in Abuja did not  grant their exparte application, seeking, among others, to restrain the House of Reps and its committees from investigating the allegation. The court ordered them to put the respondents on notice.

Instead of granting the injunction in the minister and NNPC’s favour, Justice Ahmed Ramat Muhammed directed the House of Representatives to appear before him to show cause why the interim orders being sought by the plaintiffs should not be granted.

The court further directed that the National Assembly and the House of Representatives, who are the first and second respondents, respectively, be served with the application for the injunction.

EARLIER this month, Rihanna shed her undies to expose her red-hot rump and cli– so we guess going topless is rather tame by her standards. The singer's shoot for Brazilian Vogue has finally been released and, despite the babe's flesh being a common sight these days, the spread still manages to be achingly sexy. The 26-year-old stripped totally topless – save for a teeny strip of tape – for photographer Mariano Vivanco, and was definitely not shy about showcasing her curves. Wearing a pair of gold lamé knickers, Riri posed with her booty to the camera while giving fans a peek at one of her perky assets. Donning stacks of bangles, a pair of gigantic hoop earrings and a printed silk headscarf, the overload of gold could have been a distraction – if it weren't for the fact one of the world's hottest women was half-naked in the shot. A extract.

Who Said Ndi Igbo Have Not Benefitted Greatly From GEJ's Administration? That South East's Vote Of Confidence On Jonathan.

As Ndigbo say, you may tell the blind that there is no oil in the bowl of soup, but he/she does not need anyone's help to know whether there is salt in it. His/her taste buds certainly know better. Also, when a beautiful woman happens to have been married to more than one husband, she does not need a soothsayer to know which one is better. Therefore, having lived under successive military and civilian regimes since the fall of the First Republic and the consequent emergence of an "almighty" Federal Government, it was only natural for Ndigbo to seize the opportunity of the South East zonal rally of the PDP to resonate President Goodluck Jonathan's commitment to infrastructural transformation of the South East and the sense of belonging he has accorded Ndigbo as bona-fide stakeholders in the Nigeria Project. The difference he has made is like a bangle on the wrist of Ndigbo. They do not need a mirror to observe it. Before now, there appeared to be a national conspirac…

The £50 banknote featuring a portrait of Sir John Houblon on the back will no longer be accepted as legal tender after Wednesday (30th April). The Bank of England announced it was withdrawing the note back in January as part of its strategy to combat fraud. From Thursday 1st May only £50 notes depicting entrepreneur Matthew Boulton and engineer James Watt, which launched in November 2011, will count as legal tender. So if you've got some cash lying around you could have one or more of the notes about to be axed. The Bank of England is advising people who find they have a Houblon £50 note to spend, deposit or exchange it before the 30th April deadline.
From the beginning of May, the Houblon note is unlikely to be accepted as payment by general retailers, though if you miss the deadline to spend it most banks and building societies will allow you to deposit or exchange your old-style notes. Barclays, NatWest, Post Office, RBS and Ulster Bank have said they will exchange up to £200-w…

Adamawa Government House was rendered vulnerable at the weekend, as the Police withdrew a large chunk of policemen attached to the seat of the government where the state governor, Admiral Murtala Nyako operates from. Indications emerged at the weekend that a top order had reduced the security operatives attached to the government of the state from 170 to 30 in the past few days. You would be recalled that Nyako had in a memo addressed to the Northern Governors Forum accused Jonathan’s administration of carrying out alleged genocide in the north-east region of the federation. But the Presidency, through, the President’s Senior Adviser on Public Matters, Dr. Doyin Okupe, responded swiftly, stating: “The content of Nyako’s letter exposed him as lacking a sense of history as well as incapable of rising above parochial sentiments”, an on-line news portal reports. Okupe added: “The letter was extremely divisive and intentionally meant to incite one section of the country against the other.…

The 10 states with the lowest unemployment rates in January we…

In her bid to show a bit of human face and probably divert attention from the recent bad run she has had with the press over the accusation that she spent well over N10billion on private jet charter, while Speaking to news men over the weekend in Abuja, Mrs. Alison-Madueke stated that over 60 percent of the 2014 to 2015 annual term contracts for the lifting of Nigeria’s crude oil was decidedly awarded to local firms after a painstaking pre-qualification process.
She said it was a part of the Federal Government’s objective to encourage effective local participation in the oil and gas industry.
The Minister said the balance was shared among some international trading companies, refineries and to some countries with bilateral trade agreements with Nigeria. “When we unveiled the Nigerian content law a few years back, the overriding principle was to grow indigenous capacity in an aggressive manner and I am happy to report that today, in the oil and gas sector, Nigerian content has been pl…

South Korea Premier Resigns In A Circumstance Where No Nigerian Minister Has Ever Taken Responsibility!

Nigerians need not be reminded of series of mishaps, misappropriations and mishandling of circumstances even worse than the South Korean ferry sinking, which should have made certain government official show a bit of human face. But rather they politicized it and still held-tight on to their positions largely because their career is more important than the welfare of the 170 million Nigerian. According to, South Korean Prime Minister Chung Hong-won handed in his resignation letter today, Sunday, over his handling of the aftermath of the ferry sinking, taking responsibility for “a series of problems” that both enabled and worsened the severity of the accident which left more than 300 dead or missing. In a statement, a somber Chung Hong-won said the "cries of the families of those missing still keep me up at night".

Former Nigerian military Head of State, retired General Ibrahim Babangida on Saturday charged Nigerian State Governors to provide the people with evidence of democracy and good governance. He said this during the 70th birthday ceremony hosted by the Edo State Governor Adam Oshiomhole in honour of the APC South South heavy weight, Chief Tom Ikimi.  Babangida made this charge in Igueben, Edo State, in his capacity as the Chairman of the occasion. He commended Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, for embarking on people-oriented developmental projects and charged other State Governors to emulate him. He said that the efforts of Oshiomhole were '‘worth emulating by other governors in the country'’. He noted that the essence of governance was to impact on the lives of the people through people-oriented policies and projects that would foster development. Babangida said that the development of infrastructure by the government did not only beautify the state, but also showed that…

Sick of younger sister Kim getting all the attention? Kourtney Kardashian proved she’s equally as bootylicious as her famous sibling as she celebrated her 35th birthday in Las Vegas last week in a rather revealing one-piece. While Kim is renowned for showing off her shapely derrière in a number of gratuitous selfies, it appears that she has some stiff competition from the mom-of-two, whose own ample curves were impossible to miss in the moss green number, which featured a high-cut Brazilian-style bottom.
