Argentina president Cristina Fernandez to undergo brain surgery after suffering head injury in fall!

Fernandez will now miss the build-up to the key mid-term election and in the midst of a bitter court battle over the country's finances
Outspoken: Fernandez is known for her combative style of leadership
The Daily Mirror has it that the Argentine president Cristina Fernandez is to undergo brain surgery after suffering a head injury in a fall.
Fernandez hit her head in August and was told on Saturday to rest for a month due to her condition.
But after reporting a tingling sensation in her left arm on Monday she was re-admitted to the Buenos Aires medical centre where she was diagnosed with a subdeural hematoma.
An operation is now needed to drain the blood that has collected between the brain and the skull.
"The initial recommendation for rest and observation issued on Saturday ... was modified," said a statement from the Fundacion Favaloro hospital.
"Considering these symptoms, the president's medical team is suggesting surgery."

The surgery will keep the 60-year-old out of the run up to the key mid-term election which will determine how much legislative power she will have for the remaining two years of her term in office.
And as well as missing the build-up to that she will also be out of action for a key battle with some of her nation's creditors.
Fernandez was first elected back in 2007 and saw a bump in her popularity when her husband, former president Nestor Kirchner, died of a heart attack in 2010.
However analysts remain skeptical as to whether she will see a similar jump in approval rating this time around.
Fernandez has strong views on the the Falklands and has traded blows with David Cameron, British PM over the issue in the past.
