CONTINUATION {A}..........A little b4 the time they would leave for the hospital to see the doctor, Ed suggested they go for a Lab text on their own b4 seeing the doctor, Kate agreed. They drove down to St Andrew's Lab at the other side of the city just b4 Federal Medical centre. They saw the Lab Consultant and after a brief discussion, samples were taken. Blood samples, swipe and urine from both Ed and Kate. They were asked to come back in three days time for their result. The coup...le went home like people sentenced to three days imprisonment.

 

That was the most nervous three days of their lives. Ed knew why he wanted a private Lab test first, in case there was any yama yama. You know what I mean, STDs. Ed was a play boy b4 now and goes for every thing on skirt. He was really in to women that he feared some thing maybe wrong, and is good you don't expose yourself that way, even b4 your own wife.

 

On the due day to collect the Lab result, Ed did not tell Kate about it, but sneaked out on the guise that he was going to get some petrol for the house Power generator. ''Hello'', Ed said to the receptionist, ''I came for our Lab Text result''. The lady asked for their appointment card. Ed produced it ,because he had it in his wallet all along and the lady used it to identify their result. ''Here is your result Sir'', ''thank you'' Ed responded. Off he left and while in his car, he opened the result envelope and behold, luckily they both had a clean bill of health.

 

That was the only time Ed smiled in the last three days. He went straight back to the house and said to his Mrs, '' honey, while I was getting the petrol, it occurred to me we are suppose to go and collect the Lab result today, and on a second thought, I decided to go and pick it up from there''. Kate being someone who was confident of her health, asked Ed what the result was, ''there is no problem, every thing is negative''. He handed Kate the result, Kate had a glance and dropped it on the centre table.

Now, sure he has got nothing to hide, Ed booked an appointment with one of the city's best known Gynaecologist Dr Nnabuehi at Madona hospital no 86 Douglas road Awka in the State capital. Dr Nnabuehi is famous with fertility issues and he is known to be very expensive.....
