Femi Adesina: ''What Is The Essence Of Saying You Have An Ancestral Attachment To Land & Then You Get Killed At The End Of The Day?''
This confirms that the continued killing of Nigerian in mass is genocidal with the main purpose being land grabbing. You may recall a couple of weeks ago, Femi Adesina, Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, made a provocative statement on national television, where he asked Nigerians who are against this administration’s ranching and colony programmes for herdsmen, to have a rethink, stressing that farmers are better off living with the ranches and colonies than dying through the persisting conflicts.
Watch Femi again in an interview with Channels TV as he defended his comment.
''What I said was people should offer land for peace sake. What is the essence of saying you have an ancestral attachment to the land and then you get killed at the end of the day? I say for peace sake if you have land that you can give'', give he said in the interview
The Federal government has proposed to states to donate lands for cattle ranching as part of efforts to solve the unending farmers/herdsmen clashes. Most state governors have refused to donate land, saying that cattle ranching is a business and that anyone who wants to rear cattle should purchase land for such.
