9 Christians Worshipers Killed in Syria War!

Nine Christians have been killed by opposition fighters near Ein al-Ajouz, in central Syria.

Rebels reportedly struck at checkpoints manned by government forces, killing five soldiers, and also shooting dead six civilians, in an attack last weekend.

One resident said that the gunmen then fired on roadside restaurants, attacking Christians who seemed to be holding a celebration. The state-run news agency SANA described the incident as a "massacre", saying that women and children were among those killed.

An Italian Jesuit priest, Fr Paolo Dall'Oglio, has been missing in Syria since 29 July. The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said this week that it was uncertain whether he was alive or dead.
