UK POLICE ENJOY THE FUN OF NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL
Who said police officers weren’t allowed to have fun on the job?
Partygoers at the Notting Hill Carnival were treated to a spectacle of dance from three Metropolitan police officers, in what can only be described as an outbreak of good feeling.
As the crowd looked on in astonishment, three bobbies doing their carnival beat prepared to have a dance off – flexing their dance moves with some twerking and rowing-the-boat.
The footage, which was posted on YouTube, shows the coppers’ audience cheering ecstatically as the boys in blue – or is it yellow? – shake their booties.
It becomes quite blatant that they’re not just members of the public in fancy dress, when helmets and truncheons dangle from their uniforms.
The policemen ended their out-and-out fun-loving and light-hearted episode to rapturous applause.
A Met spokesperson declined to comment but acknowledged that they were their officers.
It’s not the first time the police have hit the headlines for getting into the spirit – one officer jumped off his motorbike to get down and boogie at the Olympic torch relay last summer.
It’s not always as well received as this though, as a group of drunk Russian officers found out to their cost with a rather salacious video clip posted on YouTube.
