WOMAN SUE BOSS FOR £4MILLION AFTER HE REPEATEDLY TOLD HER SHE LOOKED LIKE SUSAN BOYLE.
An advertising executive is suing her boss for £4million after he 'repeatedly told her she looked like Susan Boyle'.
Laura Ziv claims Herve Pierini - her boss at perfume makers Firmenich - waged a two-year campaign to "publicly degrade and humiliate her" after she refused to go into business with him.
According to legal papers filed in New York, the stress of the situation became so great that it caused Ms Ziv to have a brain hemorrhage, as well as anxiety, headaches, and uncontrollable tremors.
Marketing director Ms Ziv says it was in 2010 that Mr Pierini suggested they start their own brand unconnected to Firmenich, and work on the project on company time.
When Ms Ziv refused, she alleged Mr Pierini started a campaign against her.
During a party hosted by one of the scent maker's biggest clients, Ms Ziv claims her boss "taunted" her by repeatedly referring to her as Susan Boyle - someone the legal papers say is often "taunted in the media as being old, fat and ugly".
After begging Mr Pierini to stop, Ms Ziv fled the party in tears.
He is also said to have told her she was "worthless, overpaid, and that her days her numbered".
The constant attacks are alleged to have taken a toll on Ms Ziv's health, and she began suffering from severe anxiety, headaches, insomnia, tremors, and increased blood pressure - something her doctors said was the cause of a near-fatal brain hemorrhage is April 2011.
Ms Ziv returned to work but the alleged torment continued.
Papers filed by Ms Ziv then claim that, knowing her high blood pressure was thought to have brought on her brain hemorrhage, Mr Pierini deliberately tried to elevate her blood pressure just before an important meeting by telling her: "This is your final presentation".
In June doctors ordered her to stop work for fear of causing another brain hemorrhage and she is now on medical leave from her job.
She is suing Mr Pierini and Firmenich for $6 million for the "intentional infliction of emotional distress", and demanding that her salary continues to be paid while she is employed by the firm.
In the legal documents filed at Manhanttan's Supreme Court, lawyers for Firmenich claim Ms Ziv's description of Mr Pierini's "brutal treatment of her...was not to be believed"
