KANYE WEST CLAIMS HE WAS ACTING IN SELF-DEFENCE AGAINST ASSAULT CHARGE

KANYE WEST has claimed he was acting in self-defence in response to a lawsuit filed by a paparazzo who claims the rapper assaulted him at an airport. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Kanye has cited self-defence after he allegedly attacked videographer Daniel Ramos in July at LAX Airport.
"[Kanye] responded to this assault by doing only those acts that were reasonably necessary for his self-defence," the response, submitted by West's attorney, reads.
The hip-hop superstar, who recently had a baby with Kim Kardashian, was charged with criminal battery and attempted grand theft after the incident in Los Angeles.
A video of the incident shows West shouting at Ramos before appearing to lunge at him before jumping into a car and speeding away.
