MAN HAS PENIS AMPUTATED AFTER TAKING VIAGRA TO IMPRESS NEW GIRLFRIEND

A COLOMBIAN farmer has had his penis amputated after deliberately taking too much Viagra in an attempt to impress a new girlfriend.Gentil Ramirez Polania, 66, suffered an erection for several days before going to a hospital complaining about the pain.

Doctors ruled the man needed the amputation immediately to avoid gangrene spreading to the rest of his body. "The patient showed bruising on the testicles and penis, was treated and is recovering well," Dr Antonio Correa told local newspaper La Nacion.

Medical professionals have warned people in the ironically-named Gigante, a town about 200 miles from Bogota, not to use the drugs without prescription.

Earlier this week a 25-year-old man from Yemen died of a Viagra overdose as he prepared to sleep with his wife on their first day as a married couple.
