Fernando Torres Two Good For Schalke!

FERNANDO TORRES celebrated his century in style to help Chelsea go top of their Champions League group. The Spanish striker, making his 100th start for the Blues, headed in the opening goal after five minutes against Schalke.

Torres made a smart run to the back post to latch perfectly on to Branislav Ivanovic’s flick from Frank Lampard’s corner. Torres almost doubled his tally on 51 minutes with another header, but this time he was denied by the crossbar.

But he didn’t have too long to wait for another goal, thanks to a superb break involving Eden Hazard and Oscar. The Brazilian burst through the Schalke defence before unselfi shly supplying Torres, who rounded the keeper and slotted home.

Then Hazard put the icing on the cake by racing clear and calmly netting the third goal three minutes from time.
