JOB CENTER TOLD UNI GIRL TO LOSE HER DEGREE TO GET A JOB!

A GRADUATE was told to dumb down her CV to help her find work.

Jobcentre staff advised Liza Fitzpatrick not to mention her degree when applying for a job.
According to the Daily Star Newspaper, the 36-year-old graduated from the University of Hull last July but has been unable to findemployment despite applying for more than 200 jobs.
She said her employment consultant, who she sees as a condition of claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance, told her in her last two appointments to remove her social and community care workdegree from her CV..
Liza, from Hull, said: “They've told me I have to dumb down my CV but I’ve studied hard for this.”
Work Solutions, which supports the employment and recruitment of employers, local people and Government, said: “If customers are struggling to gain employment in their chosen field, we would help them look at other realistic opportunities.
“This can mean re-looking at the make-up of a CV and the labour market it’s aimed at.”
But it insisted that this would only be a suggestion
