AMERICA GUN CRAZE: DRAMATIC VIDEO FOOTAGE OF SHOOTOUT AS MAN DRAWS GUN ON POLICEMAN OVER SPEEDING OFFENCE!

POLICE have released dramatic footage from a deadly shootout between a traffic officer and an ex-soldier.

A camera on the dashboard of the cop car captured the astonishing scenes after John Van Allen was pulled over for speeding.
The former US Army recruit is seen getting out his car, which is believed to have to been carrying his three kids.
He then walks forward before pulling a gun and firing at Oregon police officer Matthew Zistel.

Reporting the gunfire, the State Trooper reveals he's been "hit in the side" as Allen runs back to his car and speeds off.Zistel's lethal shooting of Allen was later ruled to be justified by a US judge.
Allen was later discovered slumped behind his wheel and bleeding from a bullet wound in his chest, just half-a-mile up the road.
Sherman County district attorney Wade McLeod said: "At the time Trooper Zistel decided to employ deadly physical force, it was reasonable for him to believe that his life was endangered" The Daily Star report.
