Following the news that she could return to the X Factor panel next year, Dannii Minogue is also plotting her musical comeback.
The Aussie songstress has been busy penning her most personal album yet and is set to open up about her painful split from babydaddy Kris Smith.
She may also spill the beans on her reaction to Simon Cowell’s “unauthorised” biography which claimed the TV mogul had “bonks” with the “foxy” star in 2007.
Phew.
Dan, 42, who broke up with Brit model Kris – father of her four-year-old son Ethan in 2012 – has been holed up in the studio in Australia, working with producers DNA and has already laid down six tracks.
An insider tells me: “The record will be very personal. Dannii wants to cover the events from the last couple of years.
“She’s kept quiet about a lot of things and is using her music as an opportunity to finally speak out about it all. She’s actually finding it really therapeutic.”

Dance queen Dannii, who had club hits with I Begin To Wonder and Put The Needle On It, recently wrapped her judging duties on Australian XF and has walked away from her fashion label Project D.
I hear she’s keen to put all her energy into her new album which is moving in an edgier direction and going for an Ibiza chillout vibe.
Meanwhile, big sis and Voice judge Kylie, 45, is being really supportive.
I’m told: “Dannii played Kylie her new material when she was in the UK filming for the Boyzone ITV special last month and Kylie loved it.
“It means a lot to Dannii to be able to share her work with her sister.”
It’s been 10 years since Dannii last released an album, Neon Nights, which reached number eight in the UK charts.
She reveals: “I’ve been dabbling for a while, I’ve got a few tracks there. The older you get the more hesitant you get. There’s more at stake and seeing how I’m going to build in time for that and keep some balance.
“There’s always a few messages from fans saying ‘Come on, it’s been 10 years since the last album’. I’ve had little chunks of time to dedicate and sit down and write stuff. It’s all about the right songs.”
