Chelsea have completed the deal to sign Nemanja Matic from Benfica for £25 million. Not an outrageous fee considering the recent success he’s had in the Portuguese league, winning Player of the Year and being shortlisted for the Fifa Goal of the Year award. However, if you consider two-and-a-half years ago he was a Chelsea player and was sold to Benfica for a measly £5 million-worth of leverage to make way for David Luiz coming the other way, then it is, perhaps, not the best piece of business by the Blues.
