Kim Kardashian Wins The Worst Supporting Actress Award!

Gorgeous, Kim. Kardashian
IT'S a good thing Kim Kardashian has a fashion line and a reality TV empire - because her acting career seems to have crashed and burned.
The 33-year-old was last night awarded the dubious honour of Worst Supporting Actress at the Razzies. Kim received the award for her role in Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counsellor, but we're guessing this is one trophy she won't be proudly displaying on the mantlepiece.
Kim beat out Lindsay Lohan, Katherine Heigl, Lady Gaga and Salma Hayek for the gong at the Golden Raspberry Awards. The Razzies are an annual awards show, held the night before the Oscars, which honour the worst movie, directors, actors and actresses of the previous year. Temptation was poor Kim's big screen debut as an actress, in which she played the "bitchy fashionista" Ava.

But while the mum-of-one indeed looked gorgeous in the trailer, critics slaughtered her "vapid" performance, with reviewer Alonson Duralde saying: "Kim Kardashian, as nasal and awful an actress as you might imagine."
Tyler Perry had praised the reality star's work on set, saying: "I wrote this role, Ava, which is perfect for her - a small role that she delivered, she completely, 100% delivered, and she's hysterical. "She takes every beat and every moment, and I was proud of the work she did in the movie." However, it seems the critics and the fan wholeheartedly disagreed, with the film scoring a paltry 16% on Rotten Tomatoes.

But Kim can look on the bright side, as she was in some fairly good company at the Razzies. Hollywood superstar Will Smith bagged the Worst Supporting Actor award for After Earth, with his son Jaden landing the Worst Actor gong for the same film. Kim's director Tyler managed to steal away the Worst Actress award for his performance (in drag) in A Madea Christmas.
Johnny Depp's box office flop The Lone Ranger landed the Worst Remake/Rip-Off or Sequel award, while a host of A-listers couldn't save Movie 43. The gross-out ensemble comedy, starring Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Halle Berry, Richard Gere and Emma Stone to name but a few, took hem the Worst Picture award, with its 13 directors and 10 screenwriters also landing Razzies. www.dailystar.co.uk
