Report reaching us has it that unknown gunmen suspected to be members of the dreaded terrorist group Boko Haram in the early hours of Sunday attacked Yana town in Shira local government area of Bauchi State and set ablaze the staff quarters of Government Girls’Secondary School (GGSS), Yana.
The gunmen according to leadership.ng, stormed the town at about 2.30am, set ablaze the school bus, even as they destroyed several telecommunication masts in the town.
They also attacked and robbed businesses in the commercial area of the town and made away with a private car of the principal of GGSS, which they obviously used in carting away their loots.
Report also has it that the attackers burnt a five-year-old girl to death before leaving the town.
