The fight against the dreaded Islamic group Boko Haram is currently extending beyond Nigerian borders.
Following the recent breakthrough in the arrest of some major illegal arm dealers which led to the recovery of substantial arms, the Nigerian military joint force is taking the fight to Cameroon and Chad .
Intelligence gathered as a result of these arrests points at Cameroon and Chad borders as the main source of heavy weapons being used by Boko Haram and some other armed bandits in the norther part of the country.
The renewed offensive has led to the recovery of more than 850 rifles, 50 rocket propelled guns and a substantial amount of IEDs from a single dealer alone and he is currently in custody helping the military out with the needed vital information.
