GRAPHIC IMAGES! MUM FALLS ONTO A SHARP FENCING PROTECTOR AS SHE SLIPPED WHILE TRYING TO REACH FOR FRUITS!

A MUM reaching to pick fruit slipped and was left in agony after becoming impaled on railing spikes. Ceyda Oruk, 35, had been walking with her daughter down a street in Adana, southern Turkey, when she tried to reach over the railings to grab some mulberries.

But she lost her footing and the spikes pierced straight through her left arm. She said: "My daughter spotted the mulberries and she really likes them and asked me if I could get some. "All the ones that you could reach from the road had been grabbed, but I realised if I hopped over the fence I could probably grab a handful to keep her happy."

The mum then recounted how she slipped and suddenly found herself impaled through the arm on the sharp spikes. She added: "It was agony, but I couldn't scream because I didn't want to scare my daughter any more than she already was. "I try to be brave and told her not to worry, and managed to get my mobile phone and call for help."

The brave mum was left impaled on the spikes for 20 minutes before the emergency services arrived. It was found to be too dangerous for the mum's arm to be freed then and there so a section of the railing was sawn off and she was taken in an ambulance still attached to the metal. The railing was safely removed from Ceyda's arm in hospital and she is said to now be in good health. A dailystar.co.uk extract.
