Beyonce found herself caught in the middle of an extraordinary family row after video footage emerged of her sister Solange Knowles appearing to ferociously attack her husband Jay Z. The shocking incident was captured on a security camera from inside an elevator and shows the younger sibling wildly kicking and swinging her arms at Jay, 44, while Beyonce, 32, calmly stands to the side.
In the footage, obtained by TMZ, Jay Z, Beyonce and Solange enter the elevator before Solange appears to start shouting at the rapper before launching herself at him. At one point, the 27-year-old singer throws her leg out to kick him whilst being held back by Beyonce’s bodyguard Julius and lands three blows on Jay before he tries to push her leg away.
Only then does Beyonce make a move and try to defend her husband from her sister’s alleged attack. The trio were said to be heading back to their hotel room at The Standard Hotel in New York City after the Met ball last week.
