The Adamawa State House of Assembly is now completely a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members assembly as the three remaining members of the All Progressives Congress in the House yesterday dumped the party and defected to the PDP.
While announcing their defection at the floor of the House during plenary yesterday, the lawmakers who were elected to the House under the platform of defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN and Congress for Progressive Change, CPC said their actions was sequel to their consultations with their constituencies.
The speaker of the House, Alhaji Ahmadu Fintiri, while reacting to the development said members had the constitutional right to join any party of their choice. “By this development, all the 25 members of this assembly are now PDP members”, Fintiri said.
