Woman ‘Plotted Colleague’s Rape’: She Posed As Workmate On Sex Sites Asking Men To Attack Her, Court Told!
A woman posed as a work colleague on sex websites and asked men to visit her house and rape her, a court heard today. Joanne Berry allegedly went on adult sites pretending to be a woman who liked to ‘role play’ in sex and wanted to ‘create some sort of rape scenario’.
On at least three occasions, men turned up at the home of the alleged victim, who cannot be named, after she tried to cut contact with admin worker Berry, 30. The defendant allegedly used her colleague’s name, giving out her address and car registration in online conversations.
Prosecutor Andrew Espley told Maidstone crown court in Kent: ‘She then told the men to come round and engage in a fantasy rape game with her, basically to rape her.’
In April 2012, a man arrived at the victim’s home and told her sister that he had been speaking to her all day online, the court heard. The next morning the victim answered the door to another man who then tried to push his way in, it was claimed.
Mr Espley said: ‘He then began to say he had been chatting to someone online who he believed was her and that she wanted him to go to the house and carry out a fantasy rape by knocking on the front door and then trying to push his way in.’
The man said she should phone the police and he waited in his car until they arrived. When Berry was arrested, ‘chat-line posts’, which contained ‘unpleasant sexual content’ and referred to the victim’s address, were said to have been found on her laptop.
Berry, of Grove Park, south-east London, denies all the offences she is charged with. The trial continues. A metro.co.uk report.
