Kano State governor Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso minutes ago announced Alhaji Sunusi Ado Bayero the new emir of Kano.
Bayero, who is the first son of the late emir, was until this morning the Ciroman Kano.
He beat three other contestants, including the immediate past governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. Sources.
