Kano New Emir, Sanusi, Under Probe Over Ties With Mastermind of Nyanya Bomb Blast!

Newly installed Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, is currently under probe for stalling the extradition of Sadiq Ogwuche, the mastermind of the April bombings of Nyanya-Abuja Motor Park that claimed the lives of over 100 people.
Investigations by Pointblanknews.com, which dates back two weeks ago, confirmed the Emir’s culpability. Vanguard Newspapers, one of Nigeria’s leading Newspapers did not mention the new Emir’s name in their own report.
Security sources told pointblanknews.com that investigations revealed that Emir Sanusi moved in to stop the extradition of Ogwuche using the instrumentality of his Alma Mata, African International University, in Sudan.
In 1997, Sanusi obtained a degree in Sharia and Islamic Studies from the African International University in Khartoum, Sudan.
The new Emir, is believed to have played an active role in the conversion of Ogwuche to adopt the Islamic religion using the instrumentality of his Alma Mata, ‘The African International University.’
A dependable security source in Abuja said the Emir, who has used the controversial University on several occasions to recommend and secure admission for some willing Nigerians youths in Sudan, is believed to have used his influence to reach out to some old students of the University to frustrate the extradition of Ogwuche to prevent Nigerian security from getting details from the suspect on the financiers of Boko Haram terrorists in Nigeria.
A huge amount of money is believed to have been spent to oil the palms of security officials in Sudan that have now created bottlenecks in theextradition of Ogwuche back to Nigeria.
It was further gathered that when officials of the Nigerian security agencies arrived Khartoum – Sudan last week for the hand-over of Ogwuche by the Sudanese security, they were faced with conditions that were unknown to them particularly against the backdrop of the fact that Sudan is not a signatory to any convention on the extradition of criminals and terrorists.
It was gathered that the Sudan authorities pointedly told the Nigerian security officials that they needed the Court papers particularly the charge sheet detailing the offences for which Ogwuche is being tried and declared wanted.
Ogwuche’s wife, who is based in Sudan, is believed to be the interface between the Nigerian Emir and her husband’s lawyer who are battling to get the suspected terrorist out of the hook in Sudan.
Marylyn Ogar, the Deputy Director in charge of Public Relations at the DSS, had hinted that security agencies discovered that the suspect had escaped to Sudan, when his father could not produce him.
Director General of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, and Coordinator of the National Information Centre, NIC, Mike Omeri, had said that Ogwuche, who had been on the wanted list of the security agencies, was arrested in Sudan.
“Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche, who was earlier declared wanted, has been arrested in Sudan with the efforts of the army, the DSS, the National Bureau of the Interpol based at the Nigerian Police Force Headquarters and security operatives in Sudan”, Omeri said.
“The efforts of the Interpol, Nigerian Police and the DSS led to his arrest”. Source: www.pointblanknews.com.
