THE BEST COMBINATION YOU CAN GET IN A WOMAN, BEAUTY & INTELLIGENCE! Miss England Winner Has First-Class Degree In Medicine From Cambridge University!

Sociologists and social psychologists have long known that there is a widespread perception shared by many people that physically attractive people are more intelligent and competent, as well as hold many other desirable characteristics.
A large number of experiments over the years have shown that, when asked to rate the intelligence or competence of unknown others, people tend to rate attractive others as more intelligent and competent than unattractive others.  This sentiment has just been captured in the recently conducted miss England pageant show..
A Cambridge medical student has proved that this widely held view is not only true but a fact. Miss England. Carina Tyrrell displayed both beauty and brains as she saw off 60 rivals for the right to represent her homeland in the Miss World contest and have a shot at the £60,000 top prize.
Even with a first-class BA in medicine in her locker, the fifth year, who is reading for a BSc at the all-female Murray Edwards College, called her victory a ‘huge honour’ and a ‘complete change’ from student life. She added: ‘I have had such a wonderful time in the competition so far and made some wonderful friends. ‘I can’t wait to represent the country this December at Miss World, and I would urge any girl out there who thinks beauty pageants are old-fashioned to think again.’
The 24-year-old Miss Cambridgeshire said she was looking forward to raising money for disadvantaged children with the charity Beauty With A Purpose, ahead of her big night in London.
Miss England director Angie Beasley called her the ‘perfect ambassador’ for the crown, saying she ‘combines all the qualities we represent’. Source: www.metro.co.uk.
