THE WORLD MIGHT COME TO AN END SOONER THAN LATER, EXPERTS WARN!

THE world is on the verge of extinction with scientists fearing plants and wildlife will die out long before humans.  Experts warn the the sixth great extinction is coming with species dying 10 times faster than biologists first expected. Stuart Pimm, of Duke University, is the lead researcher of the landmark project and believes humans must act now to slow down the process.
According to www.dailystar.co.uk, he said: "We are on the verge of the sixth extinction. "Whether we avoid it or not will depend on our actions." The study, which was published in the journal Science, looks at the death rate of species becoming extinct from Earth.
It found that now 1000 out of one million species become extinct each year, which was higher than the 100 species they originally estimated. Back in 1995, Pimm and his team found that the rate of extinction before humans existed was one out of a million species a year.
And with the rate 1000 times higher, experts are worried that rate will carry on increasing.
