Why This Photo Has Caused World Cup Fury!

Bosnia and Herzegovina went out of their first World Cup with a sense of injustice and the above photo has only increased the anger. The Bosnians exited the tournament after they lost 1-0 to African champions Nigeria which followed a 2-1 defeat to Argentina in their first game in Group F.
The clash with Nigeria hinged on two controversial calls in the first half from the officials, led by New Zealand referee Peter O'Leary. That was bad enough but when the photo above emerged, showing O’Leary apparently ‘celebrating’ with Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama at the full-time whistle, the anger intensified.
Bosnia's star striker – Manchester City's Edin Dzeko – described O'Leary's performance as "shameful" and said that "he should be going home too." Dzeko was denied a perfectly good goal with the scores at 0-0 when he was incorrectly ruled offside in Cuiaba.
Furthermore, Bosnia and Herzegovina captainEmir Spahic appeared to be fouled by Nigeria’sEmmanuel Emenike just before Odemwingie scored the only goal of the game. "The referee was shameful,” said a furious Dzeko. “We are going home and we are sad because of that but this referee should be going home too.N“He changed the result and he changed the game. That’s why we lost. “It was obviously a foul on our captain. And before when I scored the goal, it was never offside. We fought till the end but we didn’t have luck today.” Source: www.uk.eurosport.yahoo.com.
