APC Is Full Of Liars - Femi Fani-Kayode

The altercations between a former Minister of Aviation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode and the All Progressives Congress (APC) went abusive yesterday with the former minister saying the party was full of people who are pernicious liars and cowards.
Particularly, he described the party’s spokesperson, Alhaji Lai Mohammed as “pernicious liar.”

Fani-Kayode in a short statement titled: ‘Final response to Lai Mohammed and the APC’s latest response,’ said against the background of the APC threat to take a legal action against him, he looks forward to meeting the party in court where he promises to open the party’s can of worms.

“I look forward to meeting you in court so that I can prove to the world who and what you and your party really are and the pure evil that you represent. Listen to me carefully: I am calling your bluff so for goodness sake instead of writing long and laborious press statements just shut up, stop blabbing, put your money where your mouth is, do your worse and let us meet in court,”  he stated. He said: “The truth is that you (APC) are not fit to hold power.”
Fani-Kayode maintained that he would never shy away from reiterating all what he said in an interview with Channels Television on June 30, adding that if the APC thinks “that I am doing so you are sadly mistaken.”

According to him, “I read the second response of Lai Mohammed and the APC to my comments which appeared in today’s (yesterday’s) newspapers. Does this so-called spokesman for Nigeria’s opposition party have nothing better to do than to join issues with me on a daily basis? “It is reinvigorating and humbling to note that Nigeria’s main opposition party can dedicate and deploy so much time and so many resources just to tackle me.”

While assuring the people that he would ignore the ‘childish name-calling’ between him and the APC, he insisted that Mohammed’s “explanations and attempted rationalisations” of what he purportedly said last year about the government’s proscription of Boko Haram and opposition to it makes no sense and that “It changes nothing.”

When contacted, Lai Mohammed revealed that he and his party had resolved not to respond to the former minister again, more so that a lawyer had served him.
“I have been aware of the statement, about five paragraphs where he said I’m a pernicious liar – we have resolved not to respond to him again,” Mohammed said.
