Catholic Priest 'Caught Flushing Cocaine Stash Down Loo' As Local Diocese Prays For Him!

Father Stefano Mraia Cavalletti, who last year was convicted of defrauding an elderly woman of 22,000 euros, has been arrested on suspicion of drug dealing. A Catholic priest caught trying to flush a stash of cocaine down the loo has been arrested on suspicion of drug dealing in Italy.

Clergyman Stefano Mraia Cavalletti said he had started taking drugs due to depression after being found guilty of defrauding an elderly woman of 22,000 euros.
Father Cavalletti, who despite last year's conviction is still a member of the priesthood, was allegedly selling cocaine at a party in Milan.
The 45-year-old was arrested after police were called to the flat by neighbours who complained about the 'raucous' late-night noise.
He was allegedly caught trying to flush his Class A stash down the toilet and attempting to tear up his passport so he couldn't be identified.
The priest, from the parish of Carciano on the shores of Lake Maggiore in Northern Italy, was the only person arrested at the party.
Father Cavalletti, who has been a priest for 20 years, was convicted of fraud last year after trying to swindle an elderly parishioner out of $22,000 (£17,000).
The local diocese of Novara said in a statement that it was praying for the priest and hoped the drugs allegations would be "clarified" as soon as possible.
Although the arrest happened last week, his shocked parishioners only found out when he failed to turn up to Mass on Sunday. Source:www.irishmirror.ie
