Sen. John McCain, Republicans Criticize President Obama's Foreign Policy After Attack On Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17

US Senator John McCain and other top Republicans are demanding that Obama take decisive action against Moscow for supporting the Ukraine separatists who are believed to have shot down the plane.

Key Republicans sharply criticized President Obama on Friday, calling the downing of the Malaysian airliner over Ukraine fresh evidence that his foreign policy is gutless. They demanded that he take decisive action against Moscow for supporting the Ukraine separatists who are believed to have shot down the plane. “We need more leadership,” Rep. Peter King (R-L.I.) said on MSNBC.
Obama “has to step up” and confront Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, King told CNN. “One way or another, to me the blame is largely on Putin,” and the U.S. must “hold him accountable.” Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said, “I don’t understand this President. Crisis on the border, he did the fund-raisers, the fund-raisers in New York while there are major, major conflicts.” It was a reference to two fund-raisers Obama attended in New York City on Thursday night.
Obama spoke from the White House on Friday, saying the separatists could not have brought the plane down without Moscow’s support — part of an effort by his administration to make the case linking the insurgency, and Russia, to the tragedy. Several Democrats took issue with the Republicans’ beef with Obama. Source:www.nydailynews.com
