Former Chelsea Man Samuel Eto’o Joins Everton On Two-Year Deal, To Play Against Chelsea On Saturday!
Eto'o |
Everton have signed former Chelsea man Samuel Eto’o on a free transfer. The Cameroon international, who was today stripped of the captaincy by his national side, remains in the Premier League after departing Chelsea at the end of last season.
Eto’o joins the Toffees on a two-year deal, despite interest from West Ham and Liverpool throughout the course of the summer.
The 33-year-old becomes Roberto Martinez’s fourth permanent signing this transfer window, joining Romelu Lukaku, Gareth Barry, Muhamed Besic and Sam Byrne at Goodison Park, while Chelsea’s Christian Atsu has also signed a one-year loan deal.
Eto’o scored 12 goals for the Blues last season, including a hat-trick in his side’s 3-1 victory over Manchester United in January.
He could make his debut against Chelsea on Saturday. All the best buddy!
