Health Minister Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu |
The Federal Government may have reversed itself on the sacked 16,000 resident doctors .
They were asked to go on August 13 because of the strike embarked upon by the Nigerian Medical Association.
Spokesman for the Minister of Health, Onyebuchi Chukwu, Dan Nwomeh, dropped this hint on tweeter Friday.
He said . that the doctors had been reinstated saying this took effect from Thursday.
Accordingly, all Chief Medical Directors and Medical Directors of the training centres are directed to issue letters of reinstatement to the resident doctors to enable them resume work immediately.
The Federal Government urged the resident doctors to see the magnanimity of government in reinstating them as a goodwill gesture to engender greater commitment and dedication to their duties.
