THIS IS WHAT IT MEANS TO SPEND MONEY ON ONCE-SELF! INDIAN BUSINESSMAN SPENT ALMOST £130K FOR HIS 45TH BIRTHDAY SHIRT!

An Indian businessman spent almost £130k on a shirt made of 18-22 carat gold to celebrate his 45th birthday – and show off how much money he’s got. Although seeing the finished look, maybe he should ask for his money back.
The shirt belonging to Pankaj Parakh, who owns a multi-million pound textiles company in Mumbai, weighs 4kg but remains ‘fully flexible and comfortable’ according to The Times of India. A team of 20 people are said to have spent 3,200 hours making the shirt, which might not be to everyone’s (anyone’s?) tastes.
Mr Parakh admitted: ‘Gold always fascinated me since I was five years old and studying in school. Over the years, I have become passionate about this royal metal. ‘For my marriage 23 years ago, many guests considered me an embarrassment as I sported more gold than the bride.’
The good news is that the shirt has a lifetime guarantee. If torn or damaged, it can be repaired and modified, and it’s also washable (dry clean only probably). It’s not all about the bling though.
Mr Parakh is also said to be a supporter of a variety of social and educational activities in the Mumbai area and has financed 120 polio operations in the past five years through the renowned Narayan Seva Sansthan Hospital of Udaipur in Rajasthan.
The birthday boy is now looking forward to celebrating in style this weekend at a special function. At least he knows no one else will turn up in the same outfit.
