Russia And U.S A In A Show Of Migh As Both Forces Display On Opposite Sides Of Estonian Border

Russian forces participated in training on the Russian side of the Estonian border in late February even as U.S forces participated in an Estonian parade at the same time, showing that tensions between the two nations continue rising.

The Washington Post reported on February 24 that U.S soldiers participated in Estonia’s Independence Day parade in Narva. The Post also noted that the city is only separated from Russia by the Narva River. The article added that, “It [Narva] has often been cited as a potential target for the Kremlin if it wanted to escalate its conflict with the West onto NATO territory.”
