From Vanguardngr.com; The Senate President, David Mark, has said that the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan will facilitate the creation of the much anticipated new states in the country. Mark who spoke Monday at Ogbadibo, Okpokwu and Ado Local Government Areas of Benue State in continuation of his campaign tour of his constituency, urged Nigerians to rally round the President to ensure a landslide victory for him.
He said “With the adoption of the national confab report by the Federal Executive Council the hope for the creation of Apa and other states as proposed by the confab has become feasible. I urge you to always identify with the PDP, by voting President Jonathan, myself and all PDP candidates in the coming elections so that our dreams and hopes would be realised.”
Also speaking, the Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Steven Lawani, an indigene of Ogbadibo assured the Senate President that the people would vote for the President and other PDP candidates, stressing that “The Idomas have had it so good under the President Jonathan led administration.”
Minister of Interior and Director General of the campaign, Abba Moro urged the people to ignore the propaganda being bandied by the All Progressives Congress, and vote for PDP which he said had imparted positively on the lives of the people through projects and appointments.”
