The Son of the impeached Governor, Murtala Nyako , Alhaji Abdul- Azeez Nyako emerged winner of the Adamawa Central Senatorial Zone in the last Saturday election held in the state, thisdaylive.comreports/
Declaring the result at the INEC collation centre in Yola, Professor Joseph Tanko , said that Nyako scored a total votes of 126,406 to defeat his closest opponent Hajia A'ishatu Dahiru of the Peoples Democratic Movement, PDM, who got a total of 91,578 votes while Dr. Idi Hong of the People's Democratic Party ( PDP) got 48,506 votes.
According to thisdaylive.com, Returning Officer re, Hajia Maryam Sani and Alhaji Usman Muhammed of Labour and KOWA Parties polled 1,275 and 1,015 votes respectively. Others are Alhaji Adamu Hayatu of CPP got 725 votes, while Malam Muhammed Jibrin of ID party goes with 693 votes.
