The incumbent Governor Rochas Okorocha has been declared winner of the Imo State rerunned governorship election. Rochas Okorocha the APC candidate was declared winner in the early hours of today's morning after he secured 416,996 votes as against his closest rival Emeka Ihedioha of the PDP securing 320,705 votes.
According to the returning electoral officer, 782,528 voters voted in the entire life of the governorship election. You would recall that the Imo governorship was declared inconclusive after the April 11th election did not produce a clear cut winner considering the margin between the 1st and 2nd candidates.
