The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has fixed 25th April as the date the rescheduled governorship elections in some polling units and wards in Imo state and some other states that were declared inconclusive will be conducted. In Imo state, elections are expected to be conducted in 256 polling units to normalize the imbalance in the figures that will eventually determined the winner.
The date for the rerun has been fixed even when the third major party that participated in the election APGA, has already called for the total cancellation of the entire election in the state over what it called ''monumental rigging and voters harassment'' that took place on the election day.
