Plymouth; A UK Local Council That Protects It's Residence

When you have the feeling that your child is becoming overweight, what do you do? You first of all check what the child eats! This is exactly what Plymouth Council in the United Kingdom has done by banning a new takeaway from opening because local residents are already too fat.

Businessman Mohammed Rafic applied to open a takeaway selling fish and chips, kebabs and fried chicken in the St Budeaux area of Plymouth, but Plymouth City Council denied his request, saying that locals living in the suburb already had an ‘excess weight issue’ and the opening of a new fast food restaurant wouldn’t help, metro UK reports.
