The Queen of England yesterday Saturday marked her official birthday with the traditional Trooping the Color parade in the heart of London and Prince George made his first appearance on the famous Buckingham Palace balcony.  The queen was joined by most of the senior royals including the Duchess of Cambridge, who made her first appearance in public since having her second child { Princess Charlotte} a few weeks ago.

It is also the first time the Queen has been seen at her birthday celebrations with her heir and heirs apparent. More than 1,000 soldiers took part in the traditional display of of army drill, music and horsemanship. Prince George waved as the Red Arrows took part in a flypast that was largely reduced because of poor weather.

The queen turned 89 on April 21, her actual birth date, which is traditionally marked in private, with a public celebration held in June, when the weather is more likely to be favorable even though the weather did not behave it's self yesterday, which did not stop thousands of people coming out to witness Trooping the Colour event.
