Saraki And Dogara, PDP's Choice For National Assembly Leadership

The Peoples Democratic Party {PDP} may have adopted Senator Bukola Saraki for the position of Senate President and fillers indicates that the party has moved quickly in view of the crisis over APC settling for a candidate, advised it's senators-elect to vote in that direction in today's inauguration of the national assembly.  In the same vein, the PDP has also adopted Yakubu Dogara for the position of the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

This information was contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday morning signed by Olisa Metuh, the Publicity Secretary of the PDP.  Sources in the know, said that the PDP met with other members overnight and decided to come out with one voice to thwart what ever wrangling going-on in the APC's camp over the choice of the National Assembly leadership.

You would recall that the All Progressives Congress party had earlier presented Senator Ahmed Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila for the leadership of the National Assembly. It was also gathered that the APC could only be sure of only 55 senators out of 108 as at 12 am last night.
