Tinubu had rejected theEMERGENCE of Saraki, insisting that the Senate President should apologize to him for the coup. But Tinubu, who controls the party in the South-West seems to be alone on this matter as President Muhammadu Buhari and key APC officials had accepted Saraki and Dogara as NASS leaders.
Akande had accused some northern elements in the party of hijacking Buhari while Tinubu had blamed Buhari for the crisis in the NASS for what he called his ‘aloofness’ A key SW member of the party, Ayo Opadokun had last week said the Yoruba ‘made a mistake’ by voting Buhari, as according to him, ex President Goodluck Jonathan’sRETURN would have been a better deal for the zone.
