There Is Nothing Wrong With Buhari Travelling With His Son To US, ..But The Question Is .............?

 Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, Wednesday explained why President Muhammadu Buhari took his son, Yusuf on an official travel to the USA. Adesina said that Buhari did nothing wrong by taking one of his sons with him. He stated this while answering questions from newsmen in Abuja regarding President Buhari's state visit to United States which is centred on recovering Nigeria's looted funds by past government officials and the war on terror.

 

In his words;  “There is absolutely nothing wrong with the president travelling with one of his sons. It is an acceptable and standard practice. He could go with up to four members of his family.  “Don’t forget that when former President Bill Clinton visited Nigeria while he was in office, he came with his daughter, Chelsea.'' ........

 Borrowing a leaf from that statement, of course, ''there is absolutely nothing wrong'' if the president decides to take his entire family on any official travel. But the issue here is, it now looks like a trend and we hope the president's son is not under the government's payroll as a personal assistant of any kind, because that will be corruption and morally wrong from a president who has declared war on corruption, beacuse the president's family is covered under certain budgetary expenditures of the government.

 

Am saying this because the way that boy behaves while carrying files, looks as if he even has more sensitive information and files with him than the official presidential aides. And more so, it will be very dangerous if there is a question of trust and confidence at the Rock.
