Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Friday evening visited President Muhammadu Buhari inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The leaders met for a few minutes behind closed-doors inside the official residence of the President. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, confirmed Obasanjo’s visit to the villa.

 

Sources in the know, revealed that, at the Friday meeting with President Buhari, Mr. Obasanjo urged the president Buhari to act boldly and courageously on corruption. According to the source, Obasanjo specifically told the president to be open and go to lengths in probing Jonathan and his government, offering to assist in revealing fact that will nail Jonathan  over his involvement in corrupt activities.

 

Mr. Obasanjo reportedly listed fraudulent selling of Nigeria's crude oil and the arms import scams as two areas he would be able to assist Mr. Buhari to nail former President Jonathan, the source concluded.
