MUST READ! This Racist Danish Newspaper Thought It's A Good Idea To Rate Famous Black People On A Scale Of Evil
Denmark seems to be the confirmed HQ of racism in the world. Danish newspaper houses have now left their criticism of Islam for which they are known for and turned to racism against black people.
According to metro.co.uk, for some reason, Danish broadsheet Politiken thought it would be okay to publish a graph rating famous black people on a varying scale of evil. Unsurprisingly – the whole thing has caused a bit of a sh*t storm.
They call it a ‘cultural barometer of black icons’, and the image clearly shows icons from black history such as Malcolm X, Martin Luther King and Muhammad Ali – along with contemporary black stars like Kanye West and Beyoncé Knowles. Axis vary from ‘integrated’ to ‘angry’ on the side – and from ‘good’ to ‘evil’ on the bottom.
The Politiken wrote: ‘Two black stars have dominated the American public this week: Bill Cosby, who has been revealed as an even more stupid pig than we thought, and journalist Ta-Nehisi Coates, who has written the angriest book in a long time.’ Adding: ‘Here we bring the definitive barometer of the black America’s icons.’
And if you’re still looking for an explanation – unfortunately, that’s all they offered. Plenty of people were outraged after the publication shared the post on Facebook. One person (roughly translated) said: ‘Doesn’t that contribute to structural racism?’ Another added: ‘Even if it’s meant as a joke this is still racist.’ Somebody else simply said: ‘Wow, this is really weird.’
The journalists behind the picture later said the barometer was in fact satirical response to Ta-Nehisi Coates’ ideology that identifying as African American is a political move rather than a radical one. But that wasn’t included on the original post. Source; metro.co.uk
