White House Aide Arrested For Assault On Her Husband!

A senior White House aide has been charged with assault in a Washington, D.C. suburb after reportedly threatening and shooting at her boyfriend — a U.S. Capitol Police officer. Barvetta Singletary, 37, is a special assistant to the president who handles President Obama's relations with the House of Representatives.

Police in Prince George's County, Maryland say Singletary and the unnamed officer had a domestic dispute last Friday morning in the suburb of Upper Marlboro when she grabbed his duty weapon out of a bag and fired one round into the floor. No one was injured, police said.

Court records show that Singletary was charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. She's been released from jail on $75,000 bond and has a court date in September. White House officials did not immediately respond to requests for Singletary's job status. Her salary was $126,250 last year, according to a White House salary disclosure. Culled From; USAToday
