Turkish police are decked out in riot gear to protect their borders from refugees, but this little girl wanted to offer a gift. Thousands of people – thought to be mainly Syrian – are attempting to make their way from Turkey to Greece.
But lines of Turkish police are block their path in Edrine, so many of them, including families with small children are being forced to set up camps near main roads. These shocking pictures show a small child handing a flower to one of the police officers who is likely to be blocking her family’s intended path.
Another image shows refugee baby sitting in front of a line of the officers, who are manning the borders in full riot gear and shields. The border control has been in place for several days and now the number of refugees camping in the area is thought to be in the thousands. Metro Uk.
