BREAKING: Radio Biafra Director, Nnamdi Kanu Granted Bail

The controversial director of pirate radio station, Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu who was arrested by the Department of State Security Services (DSS, also called SSS) on Saturday, October 17, 2015 has been granted bail.
 
According to reports, Kanu who is also the leader of a self determination group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) was arrested at the Golden Tulip Essential Hotel in Ikeja. Lawyer for IPOB, Mr. Egechukwu Obetta, who spoke with newsmen revealed that though Kanu has been granted bail he has not yet fulfilled his bail conditions.
 
Obetta also disclosed that Kanu has “life threatening health challenges” and shared a cell with terrorists. He also disclosed that Nnamdi has vowed not to eat any food served by the Federal Government of Nigeria while in detention.
 
Midway into Obetta’s conversation with the press, he received a phone call which indicated that Kanu had been granted has been granted bail in the sum of N2 million or with surety of N2 million with a civil servant of grade level 16.
 
“Last week, the Afenifere threatened to secede but nobody was vilified. I am talking about the recent Olu Falae’s kidnap case. The militants in the Niger Delta has done same,” Obetta said as he lamented the unfair treatment his client was receiving at the hands of the Buhari led government. Thetrentonline
