Vincent Enyeama Shares His Thoughts And Apologizes For Quitting The National Team

I have personally watched and watched over and over again, Sunday Oliseh's own account of what happened that let to Vincent Enyeama quitting the national team. From my own point of view, I do not know yours, Oliseh is in the wrong. Enyeama is a very senior player in that team and as a captain, he deserve respect from the coach.

Sunday Oliseh should have had a meeting with Vincent Enyeama during which he should have informed Vincent of his intentions and sort for his support for the new captain. That's the way things are done in the developed world where I thought Sunday Oliseh had his training. Doing so will not only keep Vincent's seniority, but also warrant him to support and help the new captain in his new role.

Stripping a national team captain of his captaincy suddenly without notice shows no sign of respect. And most notably, watching Sunday Oliseh's account of events and heard him talked about Mikel Obi, that as a Chelsea player ''deserve to be a leader and not to be led,'' is a complete bollock and that was where Oliseh goofed. You could there and then deduce his mind about Vincent Enyeama.

It is sad to say here that Nigerians did anticipate Sunday Oliseh's behaviour before hand. I wish to advise Oliseh to without delay apologize to Vin and if possible hand him back his position or let him remain retired, but with issues sorted.
