In a move aimed at intimidating PDP Senators and paving the way for the clearance of his election sponsor, Former Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the Federal Government through the EFCC on Friday arrested the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
Akpabio and other PDP Senators have refused all the attempts to bribe them by the embattled former governor , necessitating this last resort.
It was gathered that the PDP senators had insisted that the Senate must follow the constitution, especially the issue of the indictment of Amaechi over confirmed corruption and alleged theft of N98billion belonging to the Rivers State Government. More later....
